Architecture is the juxtaposition of structure and art, which informs a client’s desire to engage in the design process.  Mark Bates is committed to this process from the first conversation with the client, through initial site meetings, preliminary sketches and plans, to construction documents, and finally construction of the home.

Mark’s extraordinary custom homes are evocative of his ability to merge the elements of client personality, site maximization, materials, and vision. They reflect a desire to create an elegant and livable piece of art.

The command of design through his understanding of space, light, harmony, substance and movement are evident in the homes he creates.  Mark will continue in his passion for realizing homes that are unique, timeless and genuine.
